HR Manager Work Location: Mumbai

Background / Context

The India focus unit covers the automotive lubricants business in India and includes the retail sales, b2b sales and the marketing function. It also includes the new step out business – Bike Zone. The India focus unit employs 300+ employees who are deployed through 4 regional sales offices and the central marketing office.

The India HR Organisation provides HR support to the different businesses operating in India through a combination of business focused HR advisors and Specialists. This role is part of the India HR organization and supports the India Automotive sales & marketing team and co-ordinates the HR activity across the four sales regions in India .

Job Description

The role is to provide HR leadership and work closely with the Lubricants business teams in India Focus Unit. This includes not only providing a full fledged generalist HR service but also rolling out various Change management and strategic HR initiatives which will help the business to achieve its vision and goals.

The primary roles & responsibilities include:

· Assist the effective implementation of People Basics within the India automotive sales & marketing organisation
· Develop and implement a resourcing plan for the India Sales & marketing organisation and ensure that they are adequately met through appropriate recruitment strategies
· Partner Communications & Engagement activity in the region and participate in the rollout of employee engagement and change management initiatives in the regions.
· Help assess and build capability of the Sales team - Technical/ Functional and Leadership
· Assist in the development of a comprehensive talent management plan for the Sales & Marketing function with CIL
· Ensure regular and accurate reporting of People statistics and related MI for the India focus unit
· Provide support and advice to senior sales & marketing leaders on people issues

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Education:
Graduate with post graduate qualification in Human resources

Experience:
5- 7 years post qualifications experience in HR.

Competencies:
- Business Awareness.
- Superior Communication skills – oral & written
- Ability to engage with, pursue and influence business/ team leaders
- Strong Analytical and Conceptual skills in organizational behavior and OD
- Ability to work in teams with a diverse set of team members.
