HR Opening at Gurgaon

A global business consulting firm, handling clients in virtually every industry (Aerospace, Financial Services, Energy,Utilities, Services & Technology etc) and advises these clients onstrategy, organization, operations, technology, and mergers & acquisitions. The company serves clients from 31 offices across theglobe.

Role:HR Manager - India

Location: Gurgaon

HR Responsibilities:- Responsible for hiring and building support/admin staff infrastructure for the India operations- Manage HR programs and activities for office including Start-up/Induction, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Feedback Systems (surveys and performance review processes), HR System,Transfers, Admin/Support Staff Recruitment, and Exit procedures. - Implement global HR programs locally, and design additional local programs as necessary- Work collaboratively with HR VP and staffing managers onvarious initiatives and programs including performance management, communication (office-wide, class-specific, individual), affiliation, promotion processes, and retention efforts- Lead on HR Risk Management o Ensure that all policies/practices are in concert with localemployment law o Educate/advise management as necessary (ongoing and ad hoc) o Point person for employee concerns (discrimination, harassment,problems with managers, personal problems affecting work, etc.) o Take lead role in any investigations and resulting actions- Manage/coach HR Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator,Executive Assistants, Receptionists and Graphics support personnel- Actively participate as member of the organization'sworldwide HR manager team o Participation in regional HR manager call so Ad hoc project work and experience sharing as necessary o Attendance at annual Worldwide HR Manager Meeting

Desired background - Bachelor's degree required; MBA in HR - Experience working in MNC setting; professional service firm experience preferred- Experience in scaling up small office - Should have an experience of more than 8 years

Characteristics/Skills- Possesses strong interpersonal and analytic capabilities - Demonstrates business understanding; able to balance betweenroles of employee advocate and member of the management- Possesses strong background/expertise as HR generalist,including employment law, and managing Employee Relations- Demonstrates high degree of professionalism, maturity anddiscretion; instills trust- Is viewed by employees as a neutral, non-threatening contactfor asking questions/raising concerns- Creative problem solver; non-bureaucratic; self-starter;ability to thrive in start-up environment- Team player: within office, within HR department, within theorganization's HR team worldwide- Can motivate, mentor and coach more junior HR team .
