Designation: Manager HR
Role: HR Manager for a BU/ BL Reports to: · Head - Human Resources
Direct Reports: · May have direct reports. HR Associate or Executive
Responsibilities & Key Result Areas: § Staffing –permanent & contract§ Employee Communication§ Compensation & Benefits Administration § HR Policy deployment§ Facilitating career planning / development§ Grievance handling and redress§ Special projects assigned by GM-HRAccountability & Authorities: § Participates in selection process and makes offers up to prescribed levels.§ Employee attraction and retention strategies§ Decides in consultation with Manager-Staffing and PD Manager in sourcing employees.§ Provides information on employees to PD Manager / Department managers.§ Escalates employee issues appropriately to PD Heads or within HR or other functions.§ Updates employees on new HR policies and processes.§ Coaches managers in performance management§ Approves expenses up to authorized extent for authorized purposes.§ Contract / hired employee hire decisionsDecision-Making: § Salary fixing for new hires§ Salary advances and corrections§ Contracts relating to the PD HR team Employment of hired personnel as per delegated authority§ Taking over of liabilities of new recruits within policy framework.
Experience: § A minimum of 6 – 10 years experience in all facets of HRM function in reputed companies
Education: § A graduate with a Post-Graduate Degree or Diploma in Management/ Personnel Management or HR management from a reputed institute or university.Know-how: § Excellent depth of knowledge in contemporary HR practices and processes including performance and reward management§ Excellent knowledge of the market conditions impacting HRM§ Knowledge of HR system design § Knowledge of statutes relating to HRMSkill set: § Excellent communication Skills especially listening skills§ Interviewing and selection skills§ Facilitation skills§ HR system design skills§ Counseling skills§ Conflict management skills§ Application of quality principles such as six sigma, TQM, etc.Personal Attributes: § Intelligent§ Empathic§ Analytical§ Assertive§ Creative and innovative§ Networking skills
