HR Opening at Mumbai

Position: Manager HR (Generalist).
The position is responsible for HR support to about 350 employees.
Location: Mumbai
Candidate Profile: Postgraduate in Management with specialisation in HR, from XLRI, TISS, Symbiosis, with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Reports to: GM-HR (SBU HR Head).
Job Purpose: This role will have a dual responsibility. The incumbent will have a Generalist HR profile for Chemicals Business and will also assist/handle some of the Group HR processes. At Business level responsibilities include:
1. Employee Contact: Driving the employee contact programme for a targeted employee population.
2. Recruitment Process - Developing and maintaining cost-effective Resourcing streams for all levels. Assist in Campus Recruitment Programme for Management and Engineering Graduates joining the Chemicals Business.
3. Manpower Planning - Assist SBU HR head in Annual Manpower Planning exercise and annual manpower cost budgeting exercise.
4. Talent Management Process - Assist SBU HR Head in driving the talent management and Career Planning process.
Group Level responsibility will be1. Compensation & Benefits - Assist GM-HR in C&B portfolio not only for Chemicals Business but also for otherl Group Companies in FMCG, Agri, Retail and Real Estate Businesses. Responsibilities will include Commissioning Annual Benchmarking Studies, Annual Salary increase Proposal, Compensation Structure Review, etc.
The incumbent will be exposed to PeopleSoft HRMS which is currently under implementation and the best learning and competence building opportunities. Future growth possibilities lie within the Business and also within other Group Businesses. Applicant should have relevant exposure, lots-of-drive and initiative, ability to work on multiple assignments at the same time and closing them within given deadlines and willing to travel occasionally.

CTC: 7-9 lakhs p.a.

Job Profile
1. Managing all HR activities of the Chemicals Business of a large Indian conglomerate
2. Managing all HR activities of Corporate Functions (Corporate Affairs, Corporate Audit etc)
3. Participating in strategic planning and review process of the business
4. Participating in the Group HR planning process
5. Advise on industrial relations and plant HR issues of the Chemicals business, if required

Reporting (to) Executive Director and President
Reporting (from) Team of 4 managers and officers

Location Mumbai

Education MBA in HR (XLRI / TISS / Symbiosis)
Experience 6-10 years of which at least 1-2 years in an independent position
CTC Rs12-15 lac p.a
