Opening for HR Head

Head-HR for a professionally managed financial services group - leaders in their field.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for the entire HR function for the group. The individual HR managers in the group will have a dotted line relationship with the group HR head.

Work will involve setting up the HR strategies and goals for aligning with the overall group objectives. Will need to coordinate with the outsourced HR firm who have been appointed to assist the group in this regard. Responsibilities will include :

1) Setting up and managing a training system for all employees including induction, job relatred, soft skills, leadership and skill upgradation training
2) Setting up and managing a periodic performance appraisal system and a reward and recognition systems that will motivate and retain employees as well as align individual’s objectives to the group objectives.
3) Setting and managing a recruitment system including standardized testing, interviewing techniques, handling prospective employees and marketing the group to them, campus and on site recruitment systems,
4) Setting up a personnel policy from scratch including leave, travel, etc
5) Team building, leadership identification and development, etc.
6) Undertaking an employee climate survey periodically and using the facts to undertake ODI activities and keeping top management abreast of the developments in this regard

The position reports to the managing director of the group.

Candidate Profile: MBAs aged 28-35 with 7-11 years experience as an HR manager with mid-cap companies (preferably service companies such as hotels, IT, retail, etc). The experience especially in the prospects current employment must be biased towards HR rather than personnel activities. Experience in working with family run companies who are transforming to a professional run set up is desirable.

Proposed Compensation: Annual CTC Rs.15 – 20 lacs. Will also be eligible to participate in the share option scheme of the publicly listed holding company in the group. Remuneration is not a constraint for the right candidate.
