Position Purpose: To provide focus and leadership in managing employee relations at Kurkumbh factory, and build professional HR systems in anenvironment where the current level of knowledge and skill is verylimited
Responsibilities: · Manage the HR function at Kurkumbh factory. · Responsible for sustaining peaceful industrial relations, engaged work force and ensure that the plant functions smoothly at the desired productivity levels. · Manage government relationships · Provide HR leadership and day to day HR operations management support to the factory leadership · Coach and counsel supervisors and managers to mainatin cordial industrial relations· Create and implement systems for positive employee engagement and People developmentCandidate
Profile:· Demonstrated track record in managing the employee relations portfolio in a professionally managed, manufacturing oganization.· Change agent attitude and skills, especially strong communication, consensus building and negotiation skills· Original thinking and ability to solve problems and take decisions in managing situations of potential industrial unrest is a strong requirement (a) Must have worked in a factory location (b) Should have exposure to setting-up Personnel department from scratch (c) Should have handled multiple negotiations for wage settlements with unions (d) Must have liaised with officials like Factory Inpectors, Labor Commissioners, etc (e) Must have handled complex domestic enquiries.
Education: Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in HR (PMIR/MBA/MMS/MPM/MSW/MLS)from a non-premier b-school
Experience: 6-8 years post qualification experience Knowledge: (a) Must be well versed with all Labor related Acts, viz, Factories Act,ID Act, MRTU & PULP Act, ESI Act, EPF & MP Act, Cotract Labor (R&A),Child Labor (P&R), Payment of Bonus, Payment of Wages, Payment ofGratuity, Minimum Wages Act, Workmen's Compensation, Trade Unions Act,Maharahstra Mathadi, Hamal & OMW Act, Industrial Employment (StandingOrders) Act(b) Must have knowledge of disciplinary proceedings & domestic enquiry(c) Must have knowledge of filing returns & nominations forms related toActs like PF/ESI/Labor Wlefare/Gratuity including all forms (monthly,biannual, annual) (d) Must have knoweldge of MPCB laws and requirements related to itscompliance(e) Must have knowledge of all HR processes like time-office, wage &salary administration, rewards & recognition, performance maangement,employee engagement, Full & Final, recruitment & selection, training &development, etc
Must be well versed with soken & written Marathi.
