Opening for Manager/Head-HR at Delhi

Company:Largest Global Airline, HQ in Europe.In India, the Airline has 45 weekly outgoing flights from various cities.

Position:
Manager/Head- HR, South Asia Location: New Delhi

This position will report to the Area Manager-HR who is based at HQ in Europe and is responsible for Central Asia, South Asia, Middle East and Japan.

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the overall Human Resource Function in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The person will be the interface for all HR support and an integral part of local Leadership Teams in developing and delivering departmental People Plans for a specific business area.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Develop an integrated HR Plan, including mandatory Training, for a specific business area, to ensure the Plan is deliverable.

· Programme manage the implementation of the HR Plan, including set pieces, in line with planning processes, identifying issues and taking remedial action to ensure achievement within time-scales.

· Scope interventions, using standard solutions, tailoring only where essential, gaining agreement with other People functions and business area to meet specific local needs.

· Deliver specific projects and services, or secure resources, in line with the People Plan.

· Adapt Corporate HR policies and procedures in line with local statutory and legal requirements in order that the Airline is compliant with local employment law.

· Guides and coaches line managers on the range of HR policies and processes and their application to enable them to manage their people and meet local objectives.

· Develop and gain approval for collective agreements including taking the lead in Trade Union negotiations for area and supporting Area Manager as appropriate.

Education and experience required
1. Master’s degree/PGDM in HR from a premier Institute such as TISS,XLRI,SIBM etc.
2. 7+ years’ HR experience
3. Advanced knowledge in the field of HR in a progressive Multi-national environment.
4. Familiarity with local labour laws and legislation is a MUST
5. Must have experience in Industrial Relations and should have handled Worker's unions and participated in negotiations/ settlements
